In the field of the digitization of medicine and health care, it is not necessary to project into the distant future, it is in full swing. The health system is on the rise. Digitization is now on the agenda of many health care providers. In general, people are open to this development. However, there are also reservations about "smart medicine".
The 5th Health Conference, which will be part of Digital Week, will examine these issues and highlight the trends, obstacles and the future of digital medicine.
Wednesday, September 18, at 2:30 pm, in the Sparkassenforum – after the reception of the president of Sparkasse LeerWittmund, Heinz Feldmann – Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Heinemann from FOM University / Essen Medicine University with the lecture "The New Intelligent World of Digital Medicine in Ethical Thinking".
The Professor of Business and Business Ethics will make it clear that in addition to technical, medical, legal and economic considerations, the issue of ethics in smart medicine is essential.
Then, the Prof. Dr. med. Lars Jänchen from Emden-Leer High School who used artificial intelligence in the care of the elderly. Under his leadership, a team of students is currently working on its practical implementation. An avatar is developed that can take the form and voice of different people. The development and the current state of the project will be explained by Jänchen.
After the break, Nils Jacobsen, Deputy Medical Director of Telemedicine at Klinikum Oldenburg, will discuss the possibilities and possibilities of telemedicine in a digitized medical world. His lecture focuses on opportunities for rural areas. It will show how telemedicine works in practice, but also what limitations and legal frameworks look like.
Finally, there will be an exciting group discussion with the speakers, Prof. Dr. med. Heinemann, Prof. dr. Jänchen, M. Jacobsen and Dr. med. Degener from KVN and Mr. Hagedorn from ZG Leer.
