The drama of LOVE Island usually comes from the stormy relationships of the series.
However, it was the climate that caused the chaos in Villa Love Island yesterday.
According to The Sun Online, islanders, including Tommy Fury, Amber Gill and Curtis Pritchard, were reportedly urged to rush inside and shelter under a storm. .
The stars of Love Island 2019 then had to spend the day at home, while the storm spread to Mallorca.
A source told the publication: "The weather was so bad that the bosses had to decide to keep the islanders in the villa.
"It would be very dangerous for them to be outside during a thunderstorm, especially with all the electrical wiring needed to record the show.
"The bosses also feared that someone would slip or be struck by lightning – it just was not worth the risk."
The insider added: "Boys and girls were very good at spending the day indoors, but it was rather boring for all."
Daily Star Online has contacted a representative of Love Island to comment.
The meteorological drama comes after the sputtering of Spain last month, with temperatures reaching a 40 ° C pipeline.
ITV told Daily Star Online that steps would be taken to keep the islanders cool.
A representative told us: "Islanders are actively encouraged to stay hydrated all day and often apply sunscreen (we have a lot of products in the villa).
"They are always encouraged to protect their skin by applying sunscreen throughout the day and staying in the shade (you will often see them sitting on the shady resting beds in the garden or on the shaded swing). "
They added: "This is what we always recommend given the high temperatures."
Love Island sends Sundays of the week and Sundays on ITV2 at 21h.
