What causes seborrheic dermatitis?
This chronic disease is caused by a fungus of the scalp and skin, which is greatly increased on oily skin types. This mushroom is called Malassezia furfur, and the reasons for its appearance are not yet known.

It is known that cold and stress and some other diseases, such as HIV or Parkinson's disease, are the main factors causing seborrheic dermatitis.

How does this disease manifest itself?
As mentioned above, this chronic disease is manifested by the appearance of inflamed lesions and redness, in addition to oily skin patches that fall very easily.
In addition, it can be felt quite significant itching, even leading to burning sensations. The stages of the disease can vary from one person to another, and there are several forms of dermatitis, some of which are more serious than others.
What are the affected areas?
The areas where the disease appears most often are the scalp, where redness can be found, as well as large white and oily dandruff.
Various treatments are available.
There are several different treatments to reduce the onset of symptoms, and to avoid relapses or counteract periods of outbreaks of this chronic disease. Seborrheic dermatitis also very often disappears spontaneously.
As a rule, the treatment prescribed by doctors is a lithium or cortisone ointment. These ointments should be applied daily, associating them with mushroom preparations.
For the scalp, you can use anti-dandruff for at least 15 minutes.
