If a pregnant woman's child is killed during an attack, the law says the unborn child is killed, therefore the attacker will go to trial for murder.

But if a woman chooses to have a abortion, the government has given her the right to legally murder her child.

Should a mother have the right to choose death for her child, when after the child's birth she can choose the option of being a parent or adoption?

Our laws seem to have a double standard for life. How can our government make laws to take away the innocent human lives that the courts have sworn to protect? Lives that may be taken because they are inconvenient to others.

A criminal has the right to a lawyer, and a fair trial.
A unborn baby who's heart beats fighting to live has no legal rights.

The voice for the child

Listen to my heart beat

You have a choice to make,

Only you will decide my fate.

Life or death,

There is not much time left.

The decision is yours alone,

Listen to my heart beat like a song,

There is not a bigger heart ache

for you to know,

Than to live with the mistake,

That you let me go,

Listen to my heart beat

as you decide my fate,

My life is your choice to make.

There are those who tell you a lie,

They say it's alright for me to die,

Is my life so easy to take?

Listen to my heart beat,

before you decide my fate.

Why You Need Abortion Pills

Why You Need Abortion Pills

Even though a lot of people seem to be ready to have their own families, a lot of people are more focused on other things and getting pregnant is not one of their current plans. Some people would like to become pregnant while others get pregnant before they are ready. There are always different reasons why women would decide to go through taking abortion pills and aborting their babies.

Reasons for Abortion

Women will always have different reasons why they would opt for abortion. Most of the time, women who go through with it are judged by other people but nobody will know the feeling of a woman who would decide to go through with it. Here are just some of people's reasons for getting an abortion:

  1. They can not support the child that they are carrying in their womb. Most of the time, women who get pregnant right now are too young to become mothers. In different parts of the globe, teenagers are getting pregnant because of practicing premarital sex. Abortion may be the only option for women who do not want to become young mothers.
  2. The father does not want to support the baby. Financial problems may be one of the reasons why women would decide to push through with the abortion. While abortion is not cheap either, it would be cheaper than going through the pregnancy and feeding another mouth when you do not have a reliable source of income.
  3. The pregnancy will cause women to have serious health conditions that may result in death. Most of the time, pregnant women who go through abortion with this reason are usually heartbroken and sad because this is their only option.

Is There Safe Abortion?

It has been said a lot of times that it is safer for abortion to take place during its first term but there are instances when women are too scared to act on it and just purchase abortion pills. Instead, they would wait for the time when it is already too late to take abortion pills and they would rather go through surgical abortion instead that may not be too safe for women.

Do remember that even though you are just going to take abortion pills, you would still need to follow some rules about it:

  • If you are below 18 years of age, you would still need to take the consent of your parents in order to go through with it. If you are above 18, you can take full responsibility for your actions.
  • Most pills would allow you to lose your pregnancy for up to the first trim which is about 9 -12 weeks of pregnancy. If you are already after this time, you may consider another option to proceed abortion.
  • Some abortion pills are not as effective as you would like them to be. This will also depend on when you are going to take the abortion pills.

Do remember that it will always be best if you would seek the help of your doctor so that the abortion process will be safe. This is especially true if you have certain conditions that might make you at risk when you take the abortion pills.

Unconventional Methods to Terminate Pregnancy

Many people still consider abortion a taboo not only in the society, but in most communities as well. Even clinical abortion, which is handled mostly by medical professionals with sufficient educational background and experience in such form of medical surgery and who are well-considered qualified to facilitate such operation, does not strictly meet the requirements of the law's demand for ethical standards, and the faithful's belief for morality. And so, for people who have dared themselves to consider the option see abortion clinics as elusive places to seek help from. Some women take the matter into their own hands; they learn to try the unconventional ones, risking their health – and even their lives and of the lives they carry in their wombs.

Herbal Abortion

One form of abortion that is not very common to all is the intake of herbal medicine which is said to induce miscarriage. It is a very minority way of termination pregnancy. This method was commonly used during the ancient times when women had more power in the family, when women had the final say about their rights to abortion or pregnancy. Herbs used are, of course, not sold in pharmacies but are distributed through underground businesses. Nowadays, in the patriarchal world that we live in today, the said practice is not used used anymore due to the emergence of more competent and technological procedures in abortion clinics.

With regards to this traditional method, it must be done as early as menstruation is suspended until the fourth week of pregnancy. Failed herbal abortion may cause birth defects to babies. That's why abortion done in licensed abortion clinics is still preferable (despite it being controversial) than the others.

Menstrual Extraction

It is given that not everyone knows about this method. From the title of this article itself, it is unconventional. This method was rarely taken advantaged by women because of the sensitivity of the topic. The procedure appeared so elusive. So how does menstrual extraction work?

This process was discovered in the 1970s before abortion was officially legalized. Aside from terminating pregnancy, it also corresponds to menstruation for women who want to spend romantic moments with their partners. All the mentioned effects happen through the use of the Del-Em menstrual extract kit discovered by Carol Downer and Lorraine Rothman, founders of the Feminist Women's Health Center. They support abortion rights of women. Since abortion was not yet legalized that time, the procedure was not done inside abortion clinics. Instead, they were done in the health centers that they initiated to organize.

Just like herbal abortion, menstrual extraction can only be performed during the first two months of pregnancy. Also, the said procedure can not be done alone, but with the help of someone who is familiar of the extraction.

Among the mentioned unconventional methods of abortion and the one that we have today in our community, clinical abortion still remains to be the safest pregnancy termination method there is for women. A woman who seeks help from people working in licensed abortion clinics are assured of protection in terms of emotional and physical health, and privacy included.

MS Drug Poses Hard Choices for Women Wanting Kids

By Dennis Thompson

HealthDay Reporter

THURSDAY, Feb. 8, 2018 (HealthDay News) — A powerful multiple sclerosis drug presents women with a tough dilemma if they would like to have children, a pair of new studies suggests.

Those who take Tysabri (natalizumab) to manage their MS are more likely to suffer a relapse during pregnancy if they stop taking the drug before they conceive, the first study found.

But if a woman remains on Tysabri while trying to get pregnant, her unborn child could face serious health risks, the second study showed.

Fetal exposure to Tysabri up to 12 weeks of gestation was associated with an increased risk of miscarriage, the Italian researchers discovered. Babies exposed to the drug in the womb also tended to have shorter length and lower weight at birth.

The researchers said their findings provide a path forward for couples who’d like to start a family.

“Our findings suggest that if women who take natalizumab for MS want to become pregnant, it may be best to continue treatment up until a pregnancy test is positive and then at that point discontinue use,” lead researcher Dr. Emilio Portaccio said in a statement.

“While there is still a risk of increased disease activity, this course of action may lower that risk,” said Portaccio, a neurologist with the Don Carlo Gnocchi Foundation in Florence.

Other MS experts are less certain, arguing that these studies simply provide more data for couples to consider when planning a family.

“I don’t think decisions should be made based on any one study,” said Kathy Costello, associate vice president of health care access for the National MS Society.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease in which the body mistakenly attacks nerve cells. Tysabri helps control the disease by blocking immune cells from leaving the bloodstream and traveling into the central nervous system, where they can attack nerve cells and disrupt communication between brain and body, Costello said.

It’s a drug typically prescribed for MS patients who haven’t responded to other treatments or can’t tolerate them, the researchers said.

During pregnancy, women usually see an easing of their MS symptoms, possibly because the immune system naturally backs off to protect the health of the fetus, Costello explained. However, risk of relapse returns following delivery and can be even sharper, particularly if the patient has stopped taking Tysabri.

On the other hand, regulatory agencies have recommended that women discontinue Tysabri for at least three months before conception, given studies that have linked the drug to increased risk of miscarriage, the authors added. The drug has also been linked to an increased risk for a rare, and sometimes fatal, brain infection.

To test the safety of Tysabri during pregnancy for both mother and child, Portaccio and his colleagues tracked 92 pregnancies in 83 women taking the drug. There ended up being 74 live births among the pregnancies.

The women were divided into two groups, depending on when they took their last dose of Tysabri.

Women who stopped taking Tysabri before their last menstrual period were considered to have had “washout” pregnancies, because the drug likely had washed out of their system prior to conception. Fetal exposure to Tysabri likely occurred in those who took the drug up to their last period.

For the study on risks to mothers, women taking Tysabri were compared against 350 pregnancies in MS patients who either took no medication or who were on another type of drug called interferon beta.

The risk of MS relapse during pregnancy was three times higher for women on Tysabri, the researchers found. About 37 percent of Tysabri users had at least one relapse, compared to 10 percent of the control group.

But further analysis found that only “washout” pregnancies were associated with having an MS relapse during pregnancy, said Dr. Ruth Ann Marrie, director of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at the University of Manitoba. She co-authored an editorial accompanying the studies, which were published Feb. 7 in the journal Neurology.

But while staying on Tysabri up to conception reduced a mom’s risk of MS relapse, it also can exact a price when it comes to fetal health, the second study concluded.

Researchers found that for pregnancies exposed to Tysabri in the first trimester, the risk of miscarriage was four times higher than pregnancies where a mother took interferon beta or nothing for their MS.

The research team noted that the miscarriage rate of 17 percent for Tysabri-exposed pregnancies was close to the overall rate for the general population, which was 14 percent.

“To me, it’s saying that for anybody who is exposed to Tysabri there was lower birth weight and lower length at birth, and higher chance of spontaneous abortion,” said Dr. Asaff Harel, a neurologist with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. “That’s even people who were just exposed at the very, very beginning of the pregnancy.”

Because of this, “I’m apprehensive about the risk of continuing Tysabri past conception,” Harel said. “On the flip side, I do agree with getting women back on the medication as soon as possible, especially if they’ve had a severe course of disease.”

Marrie said the decision will likely come down to each woman’s medical history.

“I don’t think we can say every woman with MS should continue natalizumab up to pregnancy in an absolute way,” Marrie said. “If you’re thinking about pregnancy, let’s plan it and talk about what the pros and cons are for you.”

What Does Being Anti-Abortion Truly Mean?

In the scheme of life there are issues that we see reveal around in public and in places of worship, from podiums, sidewalks, and any place people are – there are issues that we must talk about and have a dialogue over even if we have an opposing opinion. Abortion is one of those topics. To those of you who have no opinion, I wish to challenge you to decide if I am wrong.

There is always the argument that one is entitled to their opinion. That allows for some people to ignore something I have come to know as independent origination. That means that whatever you create – any action, object, or cause there is an opposite action, object, or cause that is created at the same time. That means that if for everything there is one exact opposite then when it comes to good or evil, there are only two ways to slice that. I am a firm believer in the concept and beauty of life. I am going to define what I mean.

Does life begin at 60? Only in commercials for retirement villages. Let's ask ourselves our own definition and for the purposes of clarity and non-ambiguity, let's say that we use the dictionary as our clearing reference. What does birth mean? Why does there have to be a different definition of birth and conception? There is a valid reason and I will explain. Life is something sacred and an independent cause for cherishing for each of us individually. That is something most everyone will agree on.

What does birth mean in the dictionary?

From * 1) Dictionary.com:

1. an act or instance of being born: the day of his birth.

2. the act or process of bearing or bringing forth offspring; childbirth; parturition: a difficult birth.

3. lineage; extraction; descent: of Grecian birth.

4. high or noble lineage: to be foolishly vain about one's birth.

5. natural heritage: a musician by birth.

And so clearly we have a good idea at which point we are considered "born". That life begins at birth is a constant in the universe. Even the people who talk about being "born again" do so so they can start a new life. Scientifically and Literally we are not really living until we are breathing independently and experiencing life. Life, which is defined as being an organic mass that is self perpetually dividing cells and creating itself through the experience of moving around in the environment.

Life defined; From * 2) Dictionary.com:

1. the condition that distinguishing organizations from organic objects and dead organisms, being identified by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internationally .

2. the sum of the distinguishing phenomena of organisms, especially metabolism, growth, reproduction, and adaptation to environment.

3. the animate existence or period of animate existence of an individual : to risk one's life; a short life and a merry one.

4. a corresponding state, existence, or principle of existence conceived of as associated to the soul: eternal life.

5. the general or universal condition of human existence: Too bad, but life is like that.

Again we are faced with certain facts. Facts that make ignoring some things impossible. When we look at the fact that life is, as in the first definition "… the condition that distinguishing organizations from organic objects and dead organisms, being identified by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally . "

And if that means that when we are lying, 'brain dead' despite a soul or inner energy of a sentient being (which is present in objects that are not considered living), without the abiliity to breathe, grow through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to the environment through changes originating internally, but through the supposed "life support" machines in a hospital that can sustain the tissue of a dead body through animation so that it "appears" to be alive, then, we aren 't really alive.

That would also mean that while being dependent of an umbilical chord that is our only chance of living in this world and that without the body of the host (mother) that there would be no sustaining, growth, or cell devision and there is NOT a chance of reproducing. In other words , we are not yet alive at that point.

When someone says to me that they are " pro-life" , that means to me that they are pro-fetus. That is like saying that we should stop eating eggs since they are already created and were independently growing inside their mother. But we realize that those are NOT living chickens until they hatch. Today I wish to introduce the Pro-Fetus movement. I want everyone who calls themselves Pro-Life and anyone who describes them, writes about them, or even mentions them – to step up; and start calling the people who call themselves Pro-Life what they really are. Pro-Fetus. What does this mean? This means you are putting the responsibility for the fetus ahead of the mother. And what does that mean?

My friend, Denice has pointed out to anyone who will listen, on several occasions, (but it did not sink in to me until recently) that some men in our government (who really should not have a decision in women's lives and what they should do with their own lives in the future) treat women who are pregnant as if they are worthless.

What do I mean by that?

Let me explain to you through asking you this simple question:

"When a woman becomes pregnant, what does she become?" Is she suddenly this worthless human being that has no right to decide her own life, a cocoon that is nothing more than a vessel intended for males to procreate in and through? Does someone think she describes less respect for her opinion and that she – through a lack of being able to control her own life at that point without altering her pregnancy is describing of no opinion or voice on her own life because she is carrying an embryo that is NOT living yet?

I am of the opinion that most people who think that depending on authority figures or social leaders to give them their opinions or beliefs on every matter leads to them not being able to think for themselves in life decisions. When one is raised to believe that they already have all the answers if they just listen to a certain person or read what is said in a certain book, then they have given them moral responsibility to think for themselves and they will never develop what is known as critical thinking. In other words, they will never have a real opinion based on evidence, investigation of that evidence, non-objective thought, and their own moral compass. Having our own moral compass and free will is part of human rights and is cherished like life itself because without it, our life is not our own.

Those who ignore the fact that abortions are going to happen, legally or not, are not facing reality. It is a medical procedure. Those who wish to make it illegal are trying to return to a time when young women will self abort with a wire clothes hanger or go to a unsanitary clinic and then die herself of an infection or hemorrhage. When someone tells me that they are against Roe vs. Wade, they are telling me that they are for returning to that time in history before we used common sense and a sense of decency towards young women who find themselves pregnant and can not shoulder the responsibility of being a parent. Not everyone could or should even try to do that. The thinking that everyone should gather that everyone is a responsible adult who is mentally stable and will not end up causing the death of their children grow up to cause the death of someone else, negating the argument that they are being saved for a higher purpose .
